We’ll make a little gentleman’s agreement, you and I. I’ll almost never post anything here, and you’ll almost never read anything here.

I had a few stupid computer tricks to post, but I only really remember one of them at the moment. More to follow eventually, I suppose.

Periodically, for one reason and another, I am in a position to extract an image from a MS Word doc. An ugly position that is to be in, but this is the way life is sometimes. Historically, I would just screencap it and then do what I will with it in Photoshop or what-have-you but this is sub-optimal.

Somewhere or other, I came across the nice way to do it. Save the page as HTML - then the *real* image will be separated from the doc and put in an ‘images’ directory.

For now the only other computer trick I can think of is, download and install Firefox, then go look for neat extensions to it. Watch out, some of them make it more crashy. But there are a bunch for web development that are oh SO useful. Such as tools to outline all block elements and so forth. You want links? Good lord, I’m sure you can find them yourself.

good stuff on bibliodyssey

14 November 2006

Some new groovy scans of Theosophical headmaps. These put me in the mind of those old Rosicrucians, and then Lo! that was the subject of the post below. Bibliodyssey is so cool.

Yes I know I never post anything and when I do it’s just a pointer to something cool someone else posted somewhere else, well, all I can say in my defense is that I have big plans to share some really cool stuff here once I’m not so damned busy and/or lazy.

a nice list of mp3blogs

27 October 2006

Seeing some of the ones on here, probably a lot of these would be to my liking I think - the wise and generous PCL Link Dump has posted this large list of links to mp3blogs.

I love David Shrigley.

[Update:] Now his site’s down. Must’ve had his bandwidth eaten by selfish bloggers without their own ideas posting links to his images - okay, not those like me, rather those that have dozens or hundreds of readers.

This looks good. The Avant Garde Project is archiving old (out of print) electroacoustic/experimental music.
